Export Value and Growth Rate of Chinese Electric Three-Wheelers to Brazil

Exports of Chinese electric three-wheelers to Brazil have continued to climb. In 2024, export volume reached 120,000 units—a sixfold year-on-year increase—accounting for over 20% of total electric vehicle sales in Brazil. By 2025, leading companies such as BYD saw monthly sales exceed 3,000 units, with annual export volume projected to surpass 113,000 units, pushing the market share of Chinese electric three-wheelers in Brazil to 77.6%. Although global electric vehicle registrations fell by 3% year-on-year in January 2026, Chinese exports to Brazil maintained strong growth, with a 29.4% year-on-year increase in export value for the month, representing 36.6% of total passenger vehicle exports.
