I. Overview of Electric Tricycles

Electric tricycles are widely used in short-distance travel and cargo transportation due to their unique advantages. Powered by electricity, they are environmentally friendly, quiet, and have low operating costs, with charging costs far lower than refueling costs for traditional gasoline vehicles. However, they also have drawbacks such as limited range due to battery capacity and long charging times (usually 6-8 hours).

II. Key Selection Points

(I) Battery Capacity

Battery capacity is a key factor affecting the range of an electric tricycle. When selecting a battery, it is necessary to choose according to daily mileage:

If daily mileage is within 50km, a 48V 20Ah battery capacity is suitable, meeting basic short-distance travel needs and offering relatively high cost-effectiveness.

When daily mileage exceeds 100km, it is recommended to choose a 60V 32Ah battery capacity. This effectively avoids frequent charging due to insufficient power, ensuring convenient travel.

(II) Motor Power

Motor power determines the performance of an electric tricycle. Different types of electric tricycles have different motor power requirements:

For passenger-carrying electric tricycles, a motor power of 500W-800W is sufficient. This power range provides enough power to meet the needs of carrying passengers while also considering energy consumption and ensuring a certain range.

For cargo-carrying electric tricycles, which need to carry heavier loads, higher power is required. Therefore, a motor power of 1000W or higher should be selected to ensure easy operation even when carrying cargo.
